I am thrilled to be the principal of West Blocton High School.  WBHS provides an inspiring and supportive educational experience for students.  In addition to great teaching and learning, WBHS has a variety of extra-curricular activities, events, and clubs for students to be a part of.  It is a pleasure working with the faculty and staff, including all of those not based in the school building.   I truly enjoy working with high school students and find it very rewarding in watching them grow and mature and leave WBHS as productive members of society.  I want every student to enjoy their time at WBHS and grow not only by gaining academic knowledge and life skills but also by forming friendships and experiences to carry with them beyond high school. At WBHS we have TIME for students; Teaching, Inspiring, Motivating, and Empowering all students to succeed in life.

I have lived in Bibb County for the majority of  my life and I attended WBHS.  I went to the University of Alabama and earned a BA in Criminal Justice. My professional career started when I was 20 years old working in residential treatment; this is when I first began working with children. During this time I attended the University of Montevallo and earned a MEd. in Counseling. I began working in the Bibb County Public School System in 2007 as a school counselor. I went back to school and attended UWA and earned a MEd. in school administration. I served WBHS as an assistant principal for 3 years and have been the principal of WBHS since the Spring semester of 2013.

I enjoy spending time with my family.  My wife is Michelle and she is also an alumnus of WBHS; she works with the City of Alabaster in Personnel. Our son, Trey, is a student at West Blocton Elementary School. Trey enjoys playing sports and the outdoors. We all enjoy supporting the Tigers- Roll Blocton!
